In 2021, Memphis has the game locked up. The rise of the 1017 empire shone a bright light on Pooh Shiesty, which in turn helped to highlight the city’s talent. Shiest and Big30 started out together and have remained close throughout their rap careers. Unfortunately, because Shiesty is still behind bars, 30 is left to hold down the fort on his own.
Big30 dropped a brand new banger titled “Protest” in response to the recent news that Shiesty’s bond was denied. On this track, the rapper teams up with DJ KJ, who provides heavy production for 30 to deliver his message. 30 raps on the track, “Steady screamin’ Free Shiesty like I’m trying to start a protest.”
