In July 2021, 2 Chainz tweeted, “This gone be my last trap album, enjoy” We don’t know if he intends to follow through on that promise, but the mere mention of a new 2 Chainz album sent his fans into a frenzy. It took months for the Georgia legend to announce Dope Don’t Sell Itself, and 2 Chainz meticulously released the album throughout January.
Lil Baby, NBA YoungBoy, Lil Durk, Swae Lee, Jacquees, Moneybagg Yo, Roddy Ricch, and others appear on this highly anticipated project, but his DDSI collaborators aren’t the only artists 2 Chainz has been working with recently. He recently revealed that he’s been working on the follow-up to ColleGrove with Lil Wayne in the studio.
