Since King Von’s murder, at least eight shootings have occurred in an Atlanta hookah lounge

At least eight shootings have occurred at the Monaco Hookah Lounge in Atlanta since King Von’s death in 2020.

A hookah lounge in Atlanta has turned into a death trap for customers. In November 2020, Chicago rapper King Von was shot and killed at the Monaco Hookah Lounge. According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, at least eight people have been shot near the lounge since King Von’s death, two of whom have died.

The most recent shooting occurred around 4:30 a.m. EST on Tuesday. Officers were dispatched to the area near the Chic Restaurant and Lounge after a bystander reported hearing gunshots outside the establishment. Before police arrived, the suspect fled the scene, but shell casings were discovered nearby. There have been no reported injuries.

A shooting at the Chic Restaurant and Lounge in June injured two men. Multiple gunshot wounds were sustained by one of the victims. Another shooting occurred outside of the Monaco Hookah Lounge less than a month after Von’s death. Despite the fact that no one was hurt, a slew of shell casings were discovered in the parking lot.

During a fight with Quando Rondo and his team on November 6, 2020, King Von was shot. During the incident, Mark Blakely, 34, was also killed. Timothy Leeks was also shot, and he was arrested for Von’s murder the next day. When Leeks was apprehended, Atlanta police closed the case.

After two off-duty and one on-duty Atlanta police officers attempted to intervene during the shooting, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) looked into it. At the time of the shootout, the two off-duty officers were providing security for Monaco.

Leek posted bail after being arrested for the murder but was later arrested in Georgia for 13 traffic violations, including reckless driving and fleeing police.
