According to Rolling Stone and Pitchfork, Tory Lanez has been charged with a second crime in connection with the alleged shooting of Megan Thee Stallion in 2020. The rapper was recently charged with firing a gun “in a highly negligent way which might result in damage or death to a person” during the pretrial proceedings. For a response, Pitchfork has been in touch with Tory Lanez’s agents and legal counsel.
In the days before the trial, Tory Lanez was under house arrest. As the jury selection process began, he was let out of house arrest. Lanez has entered a not-guilty plea to the counts of assault with a semiautomatic weapon and vehicular possession of a loaded, unlicensed firearm.
In her first broadcast interview on the alleged shooting, Megan Thee Stallion talked in-depth about her injuries and experience with Gayle King earlier this year.
